Lalor & District Men’s Shed Information Booklet

Offering trade based and social opportunity on a drop-in basis, LDMS provides space for people to share their skills and life experience and while doing so, learn from others. For some, the Shed provides a respite from isolation and a panacea to the loneliness and depression that can sometimes accompany retirement, bereavement or other life changing events such as accident or debilitating physical and mental illness.

For others, the Shed provides access to wood and metal work machinery, equipment and space not found in most home workshops. Members can access qualified support to put their “dream” on rails. Many members make useful items for their families and friends, and undertake work for local community institutions, groups and individuals in need of a hand.
